is it possible to access the logged in google id in an android device from air?

Hello,

I'd like to get to know the username/mail from the user that is going to use my air application, I need to restrict some content depending on the user's privileges is it possible from an air application or should I go native? As far as I know the android sdk has an accountManager class. Any ideas? Been looking for it in forums but so far not even 1 result.
