I'm really hoping someone can help me with my issue.
I've just updated my app, Math Heroes vs Dragons in the iTunes store.
A reviewer from an app discovery blog said the app freezes shortly into the game on initial launch and then continues to freeze often during subsequent launches.
I've done some testing and this is what I've found:
1. If remove the game from my iPad and install a new development version everything works as it should with no freezing.
2. If I have a an older version on my iPad and then download the app from the iTunes store and install over it, everything works as it should.
3. If I remove the game from my iPad and install the app from the iTunes store, the game freezes on first launch right before the tutorial.
If I shutdown the app and relaunch, it won't immediately freeze but will freeze if I hit the "help" button or will freeze some time during game play.
That being said I have no idea what the issue could be.
Why would a fresh install of the dev version work perfectly but not the iTunes version?
Why would the iTunes version only freeze if it's a fresh install? I would think if the code is broken then it would be freezing even for those that are updating the app. And if the code was broken I don't know why a fresh install of the dev version would work perfectly.
This is an iPad only app.
I'm using Air 3.6 rather than 3.8 because when I compiled with 3.8 the code ran much slower and was chugging quite a bit.
I'm also using the RateBox ANE, which I don't think should be an issue.
I'm testing on an iPad 2 but the issue seems to be across all iPads.
Please help!
I've already submitted my app to many review sites, bloggers, and have sent out press releases.
I can provide promo codes if that helps.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Darius
